Who we are

Who we are

At Why not Impact, we are just a bunch of nobodies, trying to tell everybody about Somebody who makes all the difference. His name is Jesus Christ, and we want to share His love, hope and grace by being His hands and feet in a broken world. A world that needs something to hold on to.

What we believe

In short…

  • we believe that God created the world, and He created every person with a purpose.
  • we believe that we are all sinners and fall short of God’s holiness and His glory.
  • we believe that sin leads to eternal separation from God and that we deserve it.
  • but because of God’s grace and His love for us, he sent Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to die in our place so that we may be found guiltless before God.
  • we believe, in order to receive this gift of eternal life, we must repent of our sins, accept Jesus Christ and what He has done for us on the cross, and walk in a new direction
  • we believe that the Holy Spirit is our comfort and guidance in this broken world.
  • we believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us

This, essentially, is the Good News, and we want to share it with everybody; not by “preaching”, but through our actions. Our job is not to judge, but to love. We view church as a place where everyone is welcome. It’s not a country club with membership for the elite. It’s a gathering of broken people who need God. So, join us on this amazing journey called life. It’s not always easy, but with God, there’s never a dull moment!

You need to know that you are more than the sum of your mistakes. You are not defined by the things that have been done to you. You aren’t even defined by the bad choices you make.  You are special, unique and you were born to win.

But for you to believe that, you need to leave the past where it belongs, you need to live every day as if it’s your last, and you need to believe that you can do anything. When we begin to realise this about ourselves, we begin to understand our own value as well as the value of every other human being…

Our passion is to encourage and love. And to also be encouraged. To let you know that you are awesome. Wouldn’t the world be an amazing place if we all loved and respected one another irrespective of our race, social status, beliefs or financial position.

WhynotImpact is a ministry that’s different. It’s not all about preaching. There is so much we are learning along the way and are certainly not qualified to think we know everything. All we want to do is share our lives and experiences in the hope that it will resonate with you and maybe help you with what you might be going through. Our calling at WNI is simple…to make a positive difference. Matthew 25:40 The King will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

We do this by sharing this principle of love through action with people across the globe. We are partners with Pastor Felix Dai and the ministry he leads in Paidha (Uganda) and Christ Saving India Ministries in East Godavari (India).  If you would like any information about what we do there, please feel free to contact us at mark@whynotimpact.com or bev@whynotimpact.com

They also feed families and help children with education. Please see the project we are involved in to help pastors and communities. I had the privilege of spending time with some of the amazing children and ministering to some of the pastors in India.

A fellow African brother of mine, Felix Dai started an amazing ministry in the north of Uganda several years ago. He and his wife, Susan, are the founders of Bridge Way School and Ministries. They and their team are reaching many people for Christ and we are blessed to be able to partner with them.

Enjoy my blogs which don’t just include encouraging Christian messages, but also relevant topics that impact us all. Please feel free to follow and to contact me! If you have a blog, let me know. I would love to see what you share on your page and to work together to make this world an amazing place.
