Allow God to edit your life frequently. It’s our way of admitting that God knows better than us.
The manufacturer of any product would know better than anyone else, how to operate it in the most effective way. Nobody in their right mind would use a sophisticated piece of machinery without reading the manufacturer’s instruction manual. Why is it then that we have no problem following the guidelines when it comes to simple, man-made stuff, but we seem to know better than our creator when it comes to our own lives?
To live with the most impact, we need to listen to the One who has given us this miracle of life in the first place. To be the best version of ourselves, we need to avoid falling into the enemy’s trap of complacency; a snare that entangles us in the lie that we know better. And the only way we can stop that from happening, is by recommitting our lives to God every single day. Because every day we fail to do so, creates an opportunity to believe that we know better than Him.
It’s important to know that God is a gentleman. He won’t force us to do anything. That’s the whole basis of His love for us – Free Will. But what He is longing for this morning, is for you and I to love Him and to recognise how much He loves us by looking at the cross. He longs for us to live our lives in the most effective and impactful way. Because He is our creator, who better can we trust to know how to do that, than God the Father? He created us to win and to make an impact in this world. Allow Him to edit your life, and experience what it means to be truly alive.
