Move!

To really live, you need to move away from what’s holding you back, and be rooted in the One who has a purpose for your life.

There are too many people in this world who find themselves in a place that they don’t want to be. It might be a geographical location that is hindering their progress. My family and I recently found ourselves in such a predicament, but we chose to do something about it. We moved, because we knew that we weren’t rooted in a specific location. But the important thing to remember, is that peace and joy is not found in a place, but rather in the way that we look at life.

No place in the world will lead to contentment if we are not rooted in Christ. It is only in Him that our lives will never lack purpose. He is the One who helps us to “move” the way we look at life. In Him we begin to understand the Grace that God has shown us. And in Him we begin to understand what it means to be blessed and thankful for our lives. Christ is the cornerstone of our existence. And without Him, our lives are on very shaky ground.

Our faith means that we need to move. We can never swim to the horizon that God has for us, if we are not willing to move… move away from the safety of the shallow water, and lose sight of the coast. We need to move into the deeper waters where we get to know who God really is.

So we have a choice. We can either act like a tree and refuse to move, or we can put our trust in Christ and move to greater things. It’s actually a no-brainer.

Have a great day!
