Infinite Hope

There is no worse death than the end of hope.

This is probably something that I often write about. But there’s a reason for that. We are living in such challenging times. Times during which we seem to be tumbling into an abyss of despair. When we are trying to do the right thing and stand up for what we believe in, we get knocked down at every turn. It seems as if the wicked prosper, while our situation goes from bad to worse. That’s when we come to a place where we throw our hands up and ask, “What’s the point?”

The point is that we have more to look forward to, than this world can ever offer. We have an infinite Hope that surpasses any disappointment the enemy can throw at us. Although Job was struggling the most strenuous of circumstances, his soul knew that God was ultimately still in control. And even when everything this world could offer was taken away from him, he stood firm in the knowledge that it was well with his soul.

The battle we are going through has already been won. We have eternal life in Jesus Christ. The enemy may be able to disappoint us, but he can never take away our eternal Hope. The enemy may try to destroy us, but we belong to God and He is our Rock on whom we must stand firm. So, let’s lift ourselves up, dust ourselves off and stand strong in the knowledge that if God is for us, nobody will bring us down.

“Here on Earth you will have many trials and sorrows, but take heart… I have overcome the world.” There’s no better promise than that one from Jesus.

Have an amazing day!
