God is calling each of us to be His hands and feet in this world. The specifics of how we do it is for us to work out. We often “float” through life, thinking that simply identifying as a Christian is enough to bring fulfilment. But the truth is that only when we commit our lives to God and to making this world a better place, do we find that true purpose. God is calling us to step out of the boat; to do something outside our comfort zone; to really live!
Sometimes our past is where we are most comfortable. But don’t go there. Step into a new tomorrow. We can’t live our lives based on our CV’s and our past achievements. And on other occasions we allow ourselves to be intimidated by the things we had done in our past… don’t. Simply shut the door to what’s behind you, because you don’t live there anymore! Today is the day that we need to burn the bridge to our past, and build a new one towards our future.
It’s time for new boundaries to be broken and new steps to be taken. It’s time for us to not only have the vision for that new life God has for us, but it’s also time for us to take initiative and to step into our new day! The opportunity for a new life in Christ is right in front of us, all we need to do is step over the thresh hold. It’s not going to be easy; it’s not going to be comfortable but it will lead to the most exciting life you could ever imagine.
The ball is in your court. What will it be? I choose to live a life of faith and fulfilment every day of the week. It’s the obvious choice. Why don’t you do the same?
