Dance

Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. Psalm 150

Whatever is happening around us, we always need to be found on God’s “dancefloor”. That’s the place where we have the joy of the Lord in our hearts, despite our circumstances. It is there where our praises ring out to God, and our love for Him is reflected through our lives. We have so much to be thankful for. The fact that we know the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour is far more precious than anything this world can offer. Standing on His promises as children of the One True King means that we have a Protector and a Hope to get us through any situation.

Every morning is a new opportunity to get up and dance, or sit back and sulk. By sulking, we are simply giving Satan an opportunity to fill our minds with lies. That’s when we feel defeated. But, when we choose God, we choose life over any situation. When we have God with us, nothing can stand against us. Whatever giant is standing before you today, has no power over you when you go into battle in the name of the Lord. When Paul and Silas were chained in prison, they had a choice: to be angry because of unfair treatment, or to dance and sing. God honoured them for choosing the latter.

God provides us with seemingly impossible opportunities, when life lead us into a dead end. When we trust God and choose to dance in His presence, our dead ends become opportunities of life. So, choose today how you will respond to your circumstances. As for me and my family, we choose to praise Him in the storm and dance in His presence. And in doing that, the shackles are broken and nothing can take away the freedom we have in Christ.

Have an amazing day!
