Real is Rare

No matter how much we try to make something look real, it isn’t unless it is!

There is only one reality! There is only one truth! Who are we, as mere mortals, to claim to know what truth is. We have become our own little gods who decide what is right and what is wrong. We live our lives focused on our desires and our wants. And because every person has a different idea about different things, we will never reach true consensus. Despite our inflated egos that lead us to choose a “truth” that fits in with our agendas, it doesn’t change the actual truth about things.

Reality isn’t subjective. Truth isn’t found in our opinions. They are both constant and set. Isn’t it obvious that the way we are doing things, isn’t working? When will society realise that because we are driven by our emotions and our carnal desires, we are never in the position to determine truth and reality? There are too many things clouding our judgement. There is no other way to escape this predicament than to look to the One who is truth. His name is Jesus Christ. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He was the Word in the beginning, He is still the Word and He will always be the Word. The Word of Truth, that is!

So if you are looking for authentic, then stop following the crowd simply because you fear rejection. Let me tell you something; I will take the world’s rejection any day. What I never want, is to be rejected by God. While we are still alive, that will never happen. But the day IS coming when those who have not accepted the One who is Truth, will be rejected by Him, all because they decided to choose their own “truth,” or to follow others who claim to know what “reality” is. One day, every knee WILL bow and every tongue WILL confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Truth. But for many who choose their own truth, that day will be too late!

Not me. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord; the One who is Truth, the author of my salvation. And during my time here on Earth, I know that there will be rejection because I choose “Truth”. That’s fine by me, because I know that He walks beside me every step of that worldly rejection. I know that people will hurt me and laugh at me for following “Truth”. If that was good enough for Jesus, who the heck am I to want to have it easier. Jesus said, that if we take up our cross and follow Him, we will have trouble. But there’s no need to fear, because He has overcome the world. I choose to be on the side of the One who has won victory over death, and fear, and rejection.

Have a great day choosing the real “Truth” and be blessed.
