Best Pillow Ever

For peace of mind, we need to resign as general managers of the universe.

One of the biggest issues we have, is our willingness to relinquish control. We all want to be the bosses of our own lives. The only problem with that, is that we then tend to focus on our wants instead of being content with only the things we actually need. When we begin to realise the difference, we have taken the first step on the journey to peace of mind.

We are naturally selfish beings. It is nothing out of the ordinary for us to to buy big houses we can’t afford, luxurious cars we don’t need and comfort inspired gadgets that make us lazy. We love to create our own little worlds occupied by population “Me!” where we become the be all, and the end all of it all. The only way to change that is to pop that comfort bubble that is imprisoning our minds to want more than we need, and making us believe that we deserve it.

The world wants us to believe that we will find inner peace in things like money, possessions, status, power and fame. But that’s a lie that keeps us running on a hamster wheel and we never seem to reach our destination. True peace of mind is found in one thing, and one thing alone – handing over the reins of our lives to the One who knows what we need far more than we do. Jesus tells us in John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

When we put our trust in Him, we will find such amazing peace that it will blow our minds. Such great peace that it’s impossible to even comprehend. If there’s one thing that our world needs, it’s peace. Everyone is fumbling around because the blind are trying to lead the blind. Why not put your trust in the only source of true peace – The Prince of Peace – Jesus Christ. Because it is only in Him that you will find true rest.

Have an amazing day rest on the pillow of peace!
