There were two roads diverging in front of me. I chose the one less travelled, and it made all the difference.

This morning I found out that one of the students I used to teach, passed away. It’s during times like this that we spend a few moments re-evaluating our lives. I often ask myself what difference I am making with my life? Does my being here, have any significance? Am I doing everything in my power to reflect the love and grace of my Saviour?

If we want to answer yes to any of these questions, we need to be on a journey. And it’s not a journey that takes us on a highway littered with 5 star hotels. It’s one that leads us into the unknown. We will need to spend cold, uncomfortable nights in unknown places if we want to become impactors of this world. We often know this and decide not to begin the journey. We don’t start because we know it will cost us. We don’t take that 1st step because we know we’ll be stepping into unchartered territory. We have become creatures of unhealthy habits and unnecessary comfort.

But the cost of comfort and routine is immense. It leads to a life of stagnation. There is no growth without a journey. There are no challenges without boldly stepping onto paths less travelled. The world needs heroes to go where no one else dares to go, and to do what no one else is willing to do. The journey starts now, and it starts with you and I. Jesus calls us to follow a path that is completely contrary to where the world is going. But one thing we can be sure of is that God never leaves us to walk it alone. He gives us what we need to push through the obstacles.

God is asking us this morning, “Who will I send?” Let our answer be, “Send me Lord!” And then… we need to go!

Every journey in life begins with faith. Have a great day as you begin the most amazing journey ever!
