There can be no doubt in anyone’s mind that the world is in turmoil. And it seems that any attempt society is making to be inclusive and accepting, only leads to more chaos. In spite of laws against hate speech, there’s hate speech. Even though freedom of religion is propagated, people of faith are being ostracized. Despite the fact that the world is making every attempt to bring peace talks to the table, there are more conflicts happening than ever before.
Haven’t we realized that when we continue doing things the way we have always done them, we won’t get a different result? If you are struggling to find peace, nothing will change until you begin to look in the right place. The only way there will ever be true peace in our relationships, is when people begin to find peace within themselves. Maybe most of us have already realized that, but the problem is that we begin to believe society when it tells us that we have the power to create our own inner peace. How has that been working so far? Real peace doesn’t mean peace that hangs around only when things are going well.
Real peace never leaves, no matter what is happening around us. And what better place to find our peace, than in The Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. He’s not a fair-weather friend who just hangs around when it can benefit Him. He is there all the way. There are no strings attached to His love. All we need to do is put our faith in Him and accept Him as our peace-giver. I know, that no matter what is happening around me, I don’t need to freak out, because His peace rests on my life. That doesn’t mean my life is all hunky-dory. Quite the contrary. But in spite of the unhunky-doriness of my life, I know He’s got things and there’s no need for me to worry.
If every single one of us could find our peace in Him, the world would be an entirely different place. Why don’t we allow the osmosis of our faith into the world. Why don’t we permeate those around us with the eternal peace that only God can give. Because when that happens, everyone benefits. It is then that we stop spending hours worrying about things, and we start using our time to make an impact in the world around us. Why not impact the world? Why not find our peace in Jesus. It’s a no brainer. Is it well with your soul? If not, find peace in Him and find rest for your soul.
Have an amazing day as you experience the Peace of God.
