Almost Home

When the world is in turmoil and it’s hard to make sense of what’s going on, there’s an unspoken hope. When weariness drags us down and we can’t seem to muster up the strength to move on, there’s an unseen hope. When it all seems in vain and our efforts feel wasted, there’s a silent hope.

And it’s because of that HOPE, that we never need to get to the point of giving up. No matter how disappointed we might feel and how desperate we might be, there is no place dark enough or deep enough that is void of Hope. And that hope has a name – Jesus Christ.

I don’t walk with Him because I expect Him to take away all my struggles – because He doesn’t! I walk with Him because He showed His love for me on Calvary. Because He conquered the hopelessness of death, I too am free and have no more shackles that hold me in a place of negativity and hopelessness. So, in spite of what’s going on around me, and in spite of my circumstances and difficulties, I walk in His sunshine with the shadows of life behind me.

And I can do that because I know what lies ahead for me – “Home”. And I am almost there! That’s why I can hold up my head and keep pressing on, no matter how tough life gets. Where there’s Hope, there’s Life. And true Hope can only be found in Jesus Christ who conquered death for me, and conquered sin for me, and made a way for me to “Come Home”.

“I know that the cross has brought heaven to us
But make no mistake there’s still more to come
When our flesh and our bones are no longer between
Where we are right now and where we’re meant to be
When all that’s been lost has been made whole again
When these tears and this pain no longer exist
No more walking we’re running as fast as we can
Consider this our second wind.”

Have an amazing day, filled with His Hope. Feel free to contact me if you want to know more about a life filled with Hope.
