The bigger our dreams, the more challenges will present themselves. It’s then, while hanging precariously between where we’ve come from, and where we want to go, that many of our dreams are dashed. It’s there where we look back and see the comfort of the ground, and we look up and see all the obstacles and sacrifices ahead. It’s there where we often choose the easy way – back to what we know. Back to the safety of our past.

“If you lack a strong vision for the future, you will inevitably return to your past.” If the vision for our lives isn’t in line with our purpose, and isn’t accompanied with enough determination, we will continue to procrastinate. And eventually, we will settle for 2nd best. According to a poll, the thing that people tend to regret most, is not having been  courageous enough to do what their hearts were telling them to do when they were younger.

I am 54 now and I can honestly say that I have never had that problem and I’m certainly not going to start now. You’re never too young or too old to start following your calling. Age only becomes an issue when we allow it to become one. In fact, it’s never an issue, we often just like to use it as an excuse for our inner fear.

We also love throwing in the towel when life has hit us a few times… hard. That’s what life does. It’s tough! It’s hard! It’s challenging! But you and I were born to win. Did you know that the chances of you being born with your DNA, your parents and your personality is 1 in 400 trillion – that’s 1:400 000 000 000 000 000 000! You are you for a reason. You have overcome tremendous odds to be you. Why would you give up on life because of obstacles. Your life is proof that obstacles can be overcome.

It’s time to KNOW that you have a purpose and that God has a plan for your life. Don’t allow obstacles to rob you of your purpose and His plan. Chase your dreams and don’t stop till you have accomplished them.
