New Life… New Song

The only way to make any sense of life and its purpose, is to embrace the truth of the resurrection. There is no purpose or true hope without it.

Believing that God doesn’t exist creates fear and confusion… the very chaos that the world is experiencing at the moment. The fear of death and isolation is very tangible in the air at present, because it confronts us with our own lack of control and mortality. There is a virus threatening humanity and there is nothing in our control to stop it. There is no way to push the thought of death aside and continue as if we will live forever – as if we will be forever young.

That is where the empty tomb comes in. There is so much evidence that Jesus lived and walked the face of this earth, yet it is still disputed. There is evidence that Jesus died, his body was placed in a tomb behind a massive stone, and was guarded by soldiers.

“Take a guard,” Pilate answered. “Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.” So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.

The only true explanation is that Jesus rose again and defeated death. There are more than 500 eye-witness accounts to back that up. I may not be one of those who witnessed His resurrection with my eyes, but I have experienced the new life HE HAS GIVEN ME and there is no doubt in my mind that Jesus Christ is the author of new life.

Because Jesus defeated death, He gave us the victory too. There is no more need to fear a lack of purpose, isolation, a virus, or death. I am so thankful for what Jesus did for me on the cross – because that’s me that should have been hanging there. That’s what I deserve. I am so thankful for what Jesus did through His resurrection, because that’s the victory He has given me. A life filled with purpose and hope – and I intend to live fully for Him, because He is the only One who makes life truly worth living.

Give Jesus a chance and see how He will give you new life with true purpose. Have an amazing day.
