Gary player once said, “The more you practise, the luckier you get!”
When we work hard at something, things will start happening and changes will slowly appear. The reason why so many people are stuck in a rut, wanting a change but not getting one, is because habits are so hard to break. My wife and I have recently signed to buy a piece of land and to build our first home in Australia. It’s going to be a tough ask, but it’s something we need to do. Believe it or not, the most difficult thing about it is to cut back on habits that cost money. One of those being going out for a coffee every morning before work. We decided to have a coffee at home, but my coffee making skills suck and it tastes nothing like you get from a barista-made cup of Joe. But, with the goal in mind, we decided to start.
The most difficult part about making changes towards a better life is not, making the decision to do so, but actually taking the first step in the opposite direction. A 180 degree turnaround is required. That change you want to accomplish in your life begins with the first step. And every subsequent step you take, is a step further away from where you are, and a step closer to where you want to be. We can either look for excuses as to why we are in the situation we find ourselves – and remain there, or we can step forward into the life we have been called to… A life of victory and impact!
It all starts with that first little step in the right direction. So don’t be overwhelmed by the distance between where you are and where you need to be. Rather focus on all the reasons why you need to make that change… And Just Do It!
Let today be the day that you take that 1st step and have an amazing day!
