The things that people have invented are amazing. We have come up with solutions to so many problems but the one thing we have no control over is death. We all have to face that appointment one day, and there’s nothing we can do about it.
We can either choose to worry about that day and live in fear of it, or we can make the most of the time we’ve been given and live life to the full. Whether we live to be 100 or half of that, or half of that, every moment is precious. We are given a chance to live a life that makes a difference; to let each moment make a difference… to love!
The truth of the matter is that “love” is spelt T-I-M-E. Let 2019 be the year that we spend time with people and really get to know them. And the way we really understand what unconditional love is, is when we spend time with God. He says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Because He loves us so much, He is always with us. He is there to hear your cry any time of the day or night.
When we begin to understand the love He has for us, we will start living for every moment, because every moment in His presence is precious. And we will begin to realise that every person in the world is loved by Him. The more we are filled with love, the less place there is for hatred and judgement. The more love we can show in our broken world, the more our lives are filled with purpose and meaning and the less time we have to waste thinking of things we have no control over.
God is in control. Leave the controlling to Him and get busy living a life of love and purpose.
