God won’t call you to do something that you can do in your own strength. What would be the point? He calls us to do something that is out of our capability range and outside what we could ever have imagined is possible.
David was a scrawny little shepherd boy who didn’t make the cut to become a soldier. All he seemed capable of doing, was to take some food to his brothers, who were the real heroes of the family. But when the opportunity presented itself for Him to face a giant… he immediately put his hand up, picked up 5 stones and stepped onto the battleground.
His brothers were far more capable to take on Goliath, but David’s attitude was crucial. He wasn’t even considering his CV or experience or what others had to say about him. He knew what God had called him to do and he focused on that alone. He wasn’t looking at his own inability, but rather at God’s ability. “He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…”
Have an awesome day!
