Limitless

I am on the verge of starting something new, exciting and “out of the box”.  It’s scary but so exhilarating at the same time.

The day we realise that we have a purpose in life and that no limits people place on us,  no cage we have built around ourselves, and no box that religion puts us in can stop what God has called us to do – that is the day we truly start living!

We often live with a burning passion to make a difference in the world but we so seldom pursue that because our minds are wired to be practical. What if we can’t afford to pay the bills? What if our venture fails? What if people think we’re crazy? What if we aren’t capable of doing it? Asking these questions is a good place to be. How we respond to them will be the difference between existing and living. It’s all about faith!

God says that we don’t need to worry about tomorrow. If He provides for a sparrow, how much more won’t He provide for us. He tells us to seek His Kingdom FIRST, and then these things will be given to us. So we love to talk about these verses but we seldom put them into practise. If that’s what God says, then I believe it. What if we try something and it doesn’t work out the way we thought? Let me tell you that God appreciates the attitude of someone who is willing to do something for Him, more than He appreciates the attitude of someone who talks a lot and does nothing. David stepped out and wanted to rebuild the temple. God was pleased with his attitude of proactivity, even though He had someone else in mind to restore the temple.

God won’t call us to do something that’s in our comfort zone. He calls us to do something that we are not capable of doing in our own strength. The point is that He gets the glory, not us. It will require faith. And anything that requires faith seems ridiculous to the world, and even, at times, to us.

If you want to live a life that’s exciting and filled with passion, then it’s time to change your thinking from the way the world thinks, to the way God thinks. It’s even time to get out of the boat that religion finds itself in, and to walk on the water that can only happen when we have a relationship with Jesus.
