Make it Count

Yesterday morning we heard the shocking news that a friend of ours tragically lost their son in a car accident. He woke up on Saturday morning like every other morning, not knowing that it would be his last day here on earth.

How would we do things differently today if we knew it was our last. Would we still complain about things that aren’t really important? Would we continue to turn a blind eye to the pain and suffering in our world? Would we try and make as much money as we can before we take that last breath? Or would we do things differently.

Being reminded of our mortality every day is not something that should make us morbid, but rather motivate us to do as much as we can with the time God lends us. When our time comes, let’s not be remembered by a few, for the things we achieved. Let us be remembered by many, for the love we reflected.

You see, if, in our lives, we have achieved the greatest things, but have done it all without love, it means nothing in the bigger scheme of things. So, let everything we do, be motivated by love. Let’s live as if every day were our last and remember that “Love isn’t love, till we give it away.” God gives every single person 86 400 seconds in each day. What we choose to do with them is entirely up to us.

Have an awesome day making every one of those seconds count.
