When God calls us, He doesn’t need us to be ready… just available and willing. In fact, we are never really prepared when He calls us. We are never really capable to do what He calls us to do.
David wasn’t prepared for the showdown with Goliath! Gideon wasn’t ready for the combat he was called into with his 300 men, against an army of 140 000 well-trained soldiers. Peter wasn’t capable of getting out of the boat and walking on water. Moses wasn’t qualified to appear in front of Pharaoh and challenge him.
No matter who you are, you are never ready for what God has for you, but that’s the whole point. If I was ready and capable of doing what God was calling me to do, then it wouldn’t require faith and I wouldn’t need God. That’s why God calls us to a purpose bigger than ourselves. That’s why following God is so exciting! Because in our obedience to His call for our lives is the place where miracles happen.
So today, step out to what God is calling you to do, trust Him, and have an amazing day!
